Below are excerpts of the correspondence received by the Chamber from the Ministry of Corporate Affairs, Office of the Registrar of Companies, Company Law Bhavan, Panaji, Goa.
"Your attention is invited toward the low rate of compliance in the state of Goa in terms of filing of statutory returns i.e. Annual Returns and Balance Sheets which is very poor. After implementation of MCA-21 Ministry of Corporate Affairs is going through on the compliance management which is abysmal in the state. Since we are in the midst of filing season, members are advised to adhere to the compliance requirements in terms of filing the statutory returns".
