Managing Committee

The affairs of the chamber are managed by a Managing Committee of 21members comprising of President, First Vice President, Second VicePresident, Hon. Secretary, Hon. Tresurer, the other members ofwhich four are co-opted by the Managing Committee from amongunrepresented interests including the immediate Past President of theChamber. The term of the Managing Committee and office-bearers is for a period of two years commencing after the Annual General meeting and going up to the next such meeting after the completion of two years .

Secretariat

The Chamber has a permanent Secretariat headed by the Director General who is assisted by support staff. The Secretariat works under the guidance and supervision of the Managing Committee of the Chamber.

Specialised Committees

  • During every term, the Managing Committee constitutes several Specialised Committees for dealing with various subjects and activities of Interest to the Chamber.
  • The Committee provides a platform to members to discuss subjects of Interest to their business activities and also organises meetings, workshops and seminars to focus their attention on important issues.
  • These specialised Committees do detailed and intensive study on the specific problem sent to them by the Managing Committe, thus carrying a significant load of the working of the Chamber.
