Recognising the important role that women play in the society, GCCI established the Women’s Wing in the year 2005. The Women’s Wing is active in its various social endeavours to encourage entrepreneurship among women. Women entrepreneurs get the opportunity to network with other women in the state. Women’s Wing of Goa Chamber celebrated the International Women’s Day by organising a Personality Development Workshop for working women, professionals and students on 7th March. A good personality and the right body language is as influential as other forms of communication. Positive body language can help one in cracking difficult deals, build business relationships, influence others, develop bonding with co-workers and motivate subordinates at the workplace. Ms Kanan Tandi – a certified body language expert and founder of Bodyspeaksbetter.com gave tips on non-verbal communication and voice skills and Ms Shwetha Pinto – Image consultant and soft skills trainer guided the participants about self presentation and professional presence and Ms Fauzia Shahid Khan, MD Designer Homes, conducted the Networking session. Earlier Dr Jennifer Lewis Kamat, Chairperson, GCCI-WW welcomed the gathering.
